Internet Cafes in C. Jakarta Banned Until Midnight

Central Jakarta Metro Resort Police has set up 49 security posts in order to anticipate brawl action in Central Jakarta. Additionally, internet cafe is banned until midnight.

"We set up 49 security posts in Central Jakarta," said Sr. Comr. Suyatno, Chief of Public Relatiobs Sub-Division for Central Jakarta Resort Police, Wednesday (6/8).

Suyatno disclosed 20 personnel are prepared to guard those posts with two shifts. Especially in Johar Baru that prone to brawl, 100 personnel are sent. "At night, police also do patrol," he told.

He furthered youths are not allowed to gather or hang out until midnight. The officer will also not hesitate to process them when caught carrying weapons, drugs and other items that could trigger the brawl.

"Another target is internet cafe from operating until midnight. It is prone to lead to brawl," he finished.
